The CSS animation that launched with hangmango was always a placeholder. Today the custom panel artwork went in, and a few other things got updated around it.
- Eight custom panel images replaced the CSS animation — one per wrong guess state, plus a win panel. Bringing in actual artwork meant the whole layout had to change to accommodate them.
- A counting-up timer was added. It starts on your first guess and stops when the game ends. Adds a bit of "how fast was that?" without any pressure.
- The result modal now shows the word, wrong guess count, and time — so you have something to compare against next time. There's also a share button; it uses the browser's native share sheet on mobile and falls back to clipboard copy on desktop.
- Also snuck in a sitemap fix — privacy.html was live but missing from sitemap.xml, which matters for AdSense review. Two-line change, worth doing.
