A shorter session covering the practical stuff — social preview image, AdSense setup, and a mobile UX fix for the filter rows which were getting a bit cramped on small screens.
- An OG image went in for social sharing — a 1200×630 preview card that shows when the link is shared on social media or messaging apps. First attempt was captured at Retina resolution (2466×1258 — twice the right size) which needed a second pass to resize correctly. Something to watch out for next time.
- The filter rows on mobile were starting to overflow on smaller phones — four rows of pill buttons is a lot of vertical space. They now collapse into dropdowns that expand full-width on tap. Same filters, same options, just tidier on a small screen. The logo also shrinks a bit on mobile to give the filters more room.
- ads.txt went in for Google AdSense authorisation. Standard step before ads can serve — without it AdSense won't show anything regardless of what's in the code.
